The cocoa beans in this chocolate bar come from a 500-hectare farm on the west coast of Ecuador. The farm's goal is to preserve "Arriba Nacional" cocoa, once on the brink of extinction. These cocoa beans give birth to a chocolate with clean fudge notes. The addition of organic dried peppermint leaves gives the chocolate a freshness reminiscent of the traditional Maghrebi mint tea. The chocolate offers a smooth, silky mouthfeel and a long, lingering finish.
